LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dana Martinez, Psy.D.
As a psychologist, my job is to help my patients (adults, children, and families) identify problematic patterns, understand formative relationships, and develop self understanding. Therapy can help children/teens learn how to express themselves and develop positive coping skills. The greatest predictor of success in therapy is the therapist-patient relationship and finding a therapist with whom you feel understood and can explore painful issues is crucial. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space where we can explore the past and create a new future. I am bilingual-bicultural in Spanish and English.
Parents, I appreciate the fear and anxiety of having children struggle. We will work closely to help your child/teenager become less anxious or depressed and more resilient and socially comfortable. If a psychological or psychoeducational evaluation is required, I help parents acquire the understanding they need to become their child’s best advocate.
